Cooking for my cats and the strays I feed
Cooking For Cats
Mama SarahA rescued little lady
Cosmo, Genevieve, starla, Timmy (in front of Cosmo)
These are Mama Sarah's kids, they will be 5 years old the 28th of this May.
They like their fancy Feast for wet meals but I have noticed alot of upchucking lately so in place of cans, dark chicken meat, chicken livers, ground organic grass fed beef,, ground turkey, cod, salmon, mackerel, sardines, tuna shrimp as a treat or cut one or two in small pieces and place on top of chicken.
Pure pumpkin or cooked fresh organic carrot and baby peas both mashed, sweet potato mashed a small amount of brown rice, seriously well rinsed, fresh organic spinach, advocado.
Naturals for dry food so no food coloring.
Canned tuna drained and just a couple times per month as with sardines in H20, and shrimps of course.
Sadly all dries are created pretty much the same but I do buy what's affordable...I can not afford big 60.00 75.00 dry foods.
I just want them eating what isn't processed for their wet meals and no chemicals. Everything I buy is Non GMO, organic.
In addition to my own strictly indoors...in my community alot of stray cats 🐈.
Same dry as mine I go through 5 18 pound bags a month for all cats.
Mornings strays get warmed 1% milk with a cracked raw Pasture raised egg, dry of course and whatever my cats are having.
I prefer to do seafood dishes in the mornings and meats for dinners.
Freshnwater always out and refreshed, hot weather I put a few ice
cubes in their bowls.
Yes, it's alot and am just on social security but especially for strays, their lives are not easy but I refuse to have them running around hungry.
Snacks are two eggs scrambled and cottage cheese 2% mixed in for the strays, or white cheadar cheese mixed with their eggs.
I do not eat pork, beef, processed meats with nitrates....I can always smell nitrates in the air when my neighbors fix hot dogs for themselves...I do not eat those either.. I will have a little chicken once in awhile but prefer not to eat animals. I love tuna and other fresh fish, fresh fruits and vegetables.
I bake my own breads, it's easy and fun!
